The new Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Freddie Ljungberg will be part of his backroom staff at the Emirates Stadium.

The 37-year-old, was appointed on a 3½-year contract on Friday, with Ljungberg taking charge of the side who played out a goalless draw away to Everton the next day. Ljungberg stepped in on an interim basis after Unai Emery was sacked last month but oversaw only one win in six games.
