Inside Bill Gates’ $80BILLION property empire – as he’s branded a ‘nuisance’ for gutting his $43MILLION ‘bachelor pad’
BILL Gates has reportedly been branded a nuisance by neighbors at one of his megamansions as he renovates the home following his divorce from wife Melinda.
The $43million mansion in San Diego is just one property in a massive $80billion portfolio that the Microsoft founder owns with his wife.
Before the divorce, Bill and Melinda purchased the $43million dollar beachfront home in San Diego, which Bill has now torn down.
Newly single, Bill demolished the estate that was described by realtors as a "turn-key."
With an estimated net worth of $130.5billion, the sky is the limit for Gates' remodel.
Before its demolition, the home was 5,800 square feet, with six bedrooms, and three and a half bathrooms.

Other homes in the Gates portfolio include a $130million mansion in Medina, Washington; an $18million home in Rancho Paseana, California; an $8.7million home in Wellington, Florida; and an $8.9million ranch in Wyoming.
Neighbors have reported that at Bill's San Diego property, he is causing a scene between the loud and ongoing construction.
His frequent visits to the neighborhood accompanied by an extended security detail and bulletproof vehicles are also disruptive, according to reports.
An insider on the property told the New York Post that construction teams are "working around the clock to get it done."

And having construction noise at all hours of the night is not ideal for others trying to live in the San Diego neighborhood.
"They make a lot of noise, my baby can’t sleep. It’s become a real hindrance on the whole neighborhood," one resident told The Post.
"It’s been a nuisance,” said another.
It's unclear how long Bill plans to continue construction, or exactly what type of bachelor pad he is planning to build.
In April 2021, three weeks prior to announcing their divorce, Melinda Gates purchased her own $1.2million cottage in Seattle.
The four-bedroom, two bathroom property has reportedly become Melinda's "bachelorette" pad, as Bill dives into his beachfront construction site.
Besides the Seattle and San Diego homes, it's unclear who will keep the other properties in the midst of the couple's separation.

'Xanadu 2.0'
Considered to be Bill's main home, the mega-mansion is estimated to be worth well over $100million.
The home, located in Medina, Washington, was originally bought in 1988 for $2million.
The 66,000-square-foot mansion took seven years to build and includes six kitchens, a trampoline room, a 60-foot swimming pool and can accommodate up to 200 people.
It is reported that there is $80,000 worth of screens inside the home.
The mega-mansion takes its name from the movie Citizen Kane where the main character, Charles Foster Kane builds a huge estate known for its splendor and size.
Rancho Paseana
In 2014, Bill purchased the 228-acre Rancho Paseana for $18million.
In front of the Santa Fe home is a racetrack that is three-quarter-mile long.
The mansion used to belong to weight-loss expert Jenny Craig.
The Californian property also includes five barns and an orchard.
Florida ranch
Outside of the family home in Washington, Bill owns a 4.5-acre ranch in Wellington, Florida.
He reportedly purchased the home in 2013 for $8.7million.
The Gates' daughter Jennifer is a keen equestrian and the family previously rented the home when in Florida for her competitions.
Buffalo Bill Cody's ranch
In 2009, the Gates reportedly bought a ranch in Wyoming that belonged to Buffalo Bill Cody.
Although the price he purchased it for has been made public, the 492-acre ranch was previously listed for $8.9 million.
Property Investments
Bill is the partial owner of the upscale Charles Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He also owns about half of the Four Seasons Hotel chain, sharing ownership with Prince al-Waleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia.
And Bill owns a portion of the Ritz-Carlton hotel in San Francisco.
