While Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic were going at it on Centre Court in what has been described by many as one of the best Wimbledon finals in recent history, many spectators in the crowd and fans watching on TV were being drawn to another superstar court side.

That man was Brad Pitt. Who is 59. And turns 6o in December. Yes, you read that correctly, the Fight Club star will be entering his seventh decade before the year is out. And now everyone wants to know his secret to staying in such youthful shape.

It turns out that his secret is less about what he does eat and drink, and more about what he doesn't. In a 2017 interview with GQ, Pitt mentioned he enjoyed non-alcoholic drinks such as cranberry juice and fizzy water along with matcha tea. Since this interview, in 2022 it was reported that Pitt had not had a drink in nearly six years. Pitt also doesn't eat meat in his diet and has allegedly been vegan since 2011.

It's no surprise that a reduction in alcohol and red meat could benefit health, with countless studies supporting these lifestyle choices. But Pitt's dedication to his diet and healthy lifestyle likely started way before he started making these changes.

Reportedly, during filming for Fight Club, aged 35, Pitt weighed around 70 kilos and had a body fat percentage of just 6 per cent for the role. That obviously takes a lot of commitment, and is as much about diet as it is about training.

However, there must be more to his youthful appearance than workouts and healthy eating. 'He’s a genetic freak,' said Damon Caro, the film's stunt co-ordinator. 'Brad’s got the ability to do whatever he wants to do. He can build up, but for that one he got lean, so while he was working out and lifting he was restricting his calories. I mean he was shredded for that film.'

Still, we expect you want to know what Pitt was lifting, right? Turns out, Pitt used a bodybuilding style split for his Fight Club workouts to focus on one muscle group each day, before finishing off with two tough cardio workouts.

Monday: Chest

  • Press-ups - 3 sets of 25 reps
  • Floor press - 3 sets of 25, 15 and 8 reps
  • Alternating floor chest press - 3 sets of 15 reps
  • Chest flys - 3 sets of 15 reps

Tuesday: Back

  • Pull-ups - 3 sets to fatigue
  • Dumbbell rows - 3 sets of 10 reps
  • Dumbbell deadlift - 3 sets of 10 reps

Wednesday: Shoulders

  • Arnold press - 3 sets of 10 reps
  • Lateral raises - 3 sets of 10 reps
  • Front raises - 3 sets of 10 reps

Thursday: Biceps & Triceps

  • Preacher curls - 3 sets of 10 reps
  • Bicep curls - 3 sets of 10 reps
  • Hammer curls - 3 sets of 10 reps
  • Tricep dips - 3 sets of 10 reps

Friday & Saturday – Cardio

  • Running - 60 minutes
