Former Juventus director Luca Cordero di Montezemolo has blasted them for wanting to add Romelu Lukaku to their squad as calls grow for the striker not to move to Turin.
The Bianconeri have made the Belgian their first-choice target for its attack and believe he has what it takes to lead them to win the league and other trophies.
However, their fans have kicked off against the decision and continue to protest against the Belgian joining their club.
Juve has not pulled out of the race and Di Montezemolo is not impressed.
He said, as quoted by Football Italia:
“The ex Inter to Juventus? I wouldn’t even want him in the picture, he even made Inter lose the Champions League,”

Lukaku guarantees goals and that is the only reason we want to add him to our group.
Fans want the team to win and must begin to show support for them to get that deal sorted because our season will depend on getting a goalscorer.
Dusan Vlahovic has been poor and we cannot afford to trust him for another campaign if he would not guarantee up to 20 league goals.
We can get this from Lukaku and that is all that matters as we search for a new striker to add to our squad.
Another broken record opinion. All summer long you’ve been on this Lukaku bandwagon kick. And today you topped it off with a doozy of an opinion without stating facts. Your preferred striker, Lukaku, who will turn 31 by the end of the season, has scored 18 goals in the past 2 years combined. What on this earth makes you think he is going to score 20 goals this year, playing for a manager who values defense over offense??? The guy has scored 20 or more goals 3 times in his entire career. And in his 2 years at Inter that he did score 23 and 24, which by the way was 3 and 4 years ago, and where I assume you think he was the greatest striker in the world, 12 of those goals were from the spot. Heck, Dybala scored more goals than him the past 2 years and you were more than happy to run him out of town. Now, you want to run another guy out of town who has scored 20 or more goals 2 of the last 3 years cause he had a bad year last year? Maybe the problem at Juventus starts with the manager? Maybe you should start looking at the top, and what is asked of players. Not the players themselves. Lukaku is not the answer.
