Cosmetics spokesperson shared insight into her approach to everyday “soft glam” makeup. “No matter what, I’m always going to use a primer,” she said, but fear not — she gave specifics, “the Liquid Poreless Putty Primer from e.l.f. is my jam,” she said. One Amazon shopper in their 50s said it “goes on really smoother [and] holds my makeup in place all day,” and added, “it's probably one of the best ones I have used.” It also has 3,000-plus five-star reviews on the brand’s website, but most of these are incentivized reviews. (Industry insider tip: This isn’t necessarily a bad thing! Brands often send out free products to make sure reviews start coming in quickly after it launches.) Regardless of which version you choose, the products’ promises are the same: blurred pores, longer-lasting makeup, even texture, and an airbrushed finish.
