Ron Perlman and Michael Pitt will star in the indie drama Run With the Hunted from writer-director John Swab.
The actors will join a cast that includes William Forsythe, Mark Boone Jr., Brad Carter and Dree Hemingway. Slaine, Brad Carter, Kylie Rogers, Sam Quartin and Gore Abrams also will star.
Run With the Hunted follows a young boy who commits a noble murder to save his best friend and is forced to run away from his hometown and leave her behind. Fifteen years later, he has forgotten his past and turned to a local gang. When his best friend then moves to the city in search of work and takes a job with a private investigator, she stumbles upon his “missing” report and takes it upon herself to find the boy who saved her life.
“The diverse cast we’ve assembled each brings something different to the film, and we’re thrilled to be able to tell the story with this group of people that includes both veteran actors and newcomers,” said Swab, whose first feature was the Marilyn Manson-starrer Let Me Make You a Martyr.
Swab will also produce, along with Jeremy M. Rosen under his Roxwell Films banner. Wes Hull, Viviana Zarragoitia, Ali Jazayeri, Scott Thomas, Giles Daoust, Catherine Dumonceaux, Perlman, David Lugo, Josh Crook, Todd Remis, David Moscow and Renee Willett will executive produce.
BondIt Media Capital and Three Point Capital will finance. VMI Worldwide is representing the film.
Perlman is repped by Gersh and LINK; Pitt is with CAA, LBI and Schreck Rose.
