Jennifer Aniston has discussed her admiration for her 'fantastic' ex-husband Brad Pitt, revealing that he was one of her favourite guests stars on Friends.

During a recent interview with Access, ahead of Aniston and her co-stars' long-awaited Friends reunion (which will air on Thursday, May 27), the cast opened up about some of their favourite guests appearances during the series, from Sean Penn and Julia Roberts to Reese Witherspoon and Alec Baldwin.

‘You had every A-list star on there. Do you have a favourite or most memorable one?’ journalist Kit Hoover asked Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Courteney Cox during the discussion.

‘I was blown away by so many,’ admitted Kudrow.

According to Aniston, Ben Stiller was ‘hysterical’ and Witherspoon – who played her younger sister Jill and later became her co-star on the award-winning show The Morning Show – was ‘brilliant’.

As for her ex-husband Pitt, who she was married to from 2000-2005, the actor said: ‘And Mr Pitt was wonderful. He was fantastic.’

During the TV series, which aired for 10 seasons, the Oscar winner starred in the 2001 episode titled ‘The One With The Rumour’ as Will Colbert, a former classmate of Aniston’s character Rachel Green who despised her.

Unsurprisingly, Aniston's admission resulted in some mild hysteria from Pitt and Aniston fans on Twitter.

‘True Love will prevail. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston,’ one wrote.

‘Waiting for the return of Golden couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston,’ another added.

In 2019, Pitt opened up about his guest appearance to Access and his love for the Friends actors.

‘Great cast, man,’ he said. ‘I mean, they laughed and really had a great time with each other.’

On working on the set Pitt revealed: ‘I flubbed my first line. We had to stop and start again.’

While Aniston and Pitt split over 16 years ago, the pair have seemingly remained good friends and are regularly seen congratulating and greeting each other at award shows.

During their appearance at the 77th Golden Globe Awards last year, Pitt told Entertainment Tonight of a possible run-in with his ex-wife: ‘I'll run into Jen. She's a good friend.'

The actor then joked their meet-up would be the ‘second-most important reunion of her year’, referring to her Friends reunion which was postponed from October 2020 to this month.
