The 2021 Emmy awards took place in Los Angeles last night and if you haven't caught up on the red carpet fashion yet, we've got you right here.

Singer turned actress Mandy Moore gave us serious Chris de Burgh vibes in a red Caroline Herrera spaghetti strap dress, which was also pretty reminiscent of that 1999 Gwyneth Paltrow Oscar dress.

Completing her full Lady in Red (hence the Chris de Burgh reference) look, Mandy wore a bright red, glossy lip, painted by makeup artist Kindra Mann.

Teamed with glossy, natural skin and black eyeliner, Mandy looked sensational, but we almost didn't recognise her due to her hair transformation.

With her brunette hair tied back into a voluminous messy ponytail complete with full fringe, it took us a moment to realise that it was indeed Mandy.

Her stunning hair transformation was thanks to Ashley Streicher who added a 'cool girl' element to an otherwise very classic red dress.

Ashley in fact teased to Mandy's fringe transformation earlier in the day when she shared an Instagram story from Mandy's stylist Kevin Michael Ericson which said "@streicherhair bring your scissors".

So we have to give props to Kevin for masterminding the whole look.

Note to self: hire a stylist so you no longer spend 18 months debating whether to get bangs or not.

Additional note to self: get a second job so you can afford said stylist.

Nobody said hair transformations were cheap now, did they?
