Tuesday morning, California 2020 wideout Chad Johnson Jr. announced Oregon State University as the second school to offer him a scholarship.

Johnson is the son of former Beaver and NFL great Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, who played for the Dennis Erickson led Beavers in 2000. That team went 11-1 and beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl that year.

The younger Johnson is 6’3” and 185 lbs and already showing major promise as a sophomore. While he hasn’t received a formal number of stars yet, Johnson is already making plays like his dad and drawing D1 attention. His first offer came from Lane Kiffin and Florida Atlantic University.

He’s got plenty of time to decide, but Johnson Jr. has stated that he would love the opportunity to follow in his dad’s footsteps at OSU.
