The Pussycat Dolls Alum Nicole Scherzinger Is Engaged to Thom Evans!

After four years of dating, Nicole Scherzinger and Thom Evans are getting ready to say “I do.” The former lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls announced her engagement to the Scottish rugby player on June 27, 2023, by sharing photos from their beach proposal on social media. “I said yes 💍♥️,” her caption says. The bride-to-be uploaded two photos from the moment Evans popped the question. In the first image, Evans is kneeling in the sand, holding open the engagement ring box, while Scherzinger is covering her face with her hands in shock. The next shot shows the couple gazing into each other’s eyes and embracing one another after Scherzinger accepted the proposal. In both images, Scherzinger is wearing a blue floral maxi dress and fedora, while Evans is sporting a blue linen shirt and khaki shorts. Evans also posted the same two photos on his Instagram account, with the caption, “My Ever After 💍❤️.”

The couple’s celebrity friends were quick to share their excitement for the newly engaged duo in the comments section. Ashlee Simpson Ross wrote, “Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Naomi Campbell was another celebrity to express her well-wishes: “Congratulations!” she exclaimed. Paris Hilton also gushed, “Congratulations love!”

The duo first connected in 2019 on The X Factor: Celebrity, on which Scherzinger was a judge and Evans was a contestant with the group Try Star. Although the trio of rugby players, which also included Levi Davis and Ben Foden, were eliminated in the semi-finals, Scherzinger praised their final performance, saying it was “the greatest way to open up the show.” Fellow judge Simon Cowell commented on Scherzinger’s reaction, pointing out that he had “never seen Nicole smile like this in his life.” 

Two months after the show aired, the two were spotted together in London, which prompted dating rumors. However, Scherzinger addressed the speculation on the podcast The Dan Wootton Interview the following month in November 2019, explaining that her schedule doesn’t have room for a relationship. “Thom is lovely, but what's going on is that I am very busy,” she stated.

However, on January 5, 2020, just a couple of months after the Grammy-nominated singer denied the rumors, the duo made their red carpet debut at the Golden Globes after-party at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The following day, they made their relationship official on Instagram when the artist and the rugby player both posted the same photo of themselves from the party on their separate Instagram accounts sans caption. 

Throughout their relationship, the couple has shared photos and videos of themselves working out together, making TikToks, enjoying vacations, seeing Broadway musicals, and celebrating one another’s birthdays. During an interview with Extra in November 2020, Scherzinger expressed how happy she was with her dating life. “It’s just a blessing to have a normal, healthy relationship,” she told the outlet. In October 2021, Evans opened up about his relationship with Scherzinger during an interview with The Sun. “She’s so easy and fun to be around,” he gushed. “I’ve hit the jackpot.”
