Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt may have officially divorced on October 2, 2005, but celebrity guests still confirm that their wedding was one for the books. According to Michael Rapaport, who attended the couple's Malibu nuptials on July 29, 2000 (he co-starred with Pitt in True Romance in 1993 and joined the cast of Friends for a four-episode arch alongside Aniston in 1999), the celebration's details were nothing short of lavish. While appearing on Watch What Happens Live in August 14, 2023, the actor opened up about the wedding—much to the shock of host Andy Cohen.

According to E! News, Rapaport and Cohen were discussing the fact that Real Housewives of New York City star Erin Lichy served caviar on Pringles to her castmates, which prompted the actor to make a flippant remark about inviting him to any event at which the delicacy would be served. "Any time you're serving caviar, let me know," Rapaport said. Then, he went into an aside about Aniston and Pitt's wedding, and shared that the creative way the duo chose to serve caviar on their big day. "I was at Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's wedding. They had a wall of caviar," he explained. "I still have some saved over... I'm still eating caviar from there." A shocked Cohen said, "How have you been on the show 87 times, and I've never talked to you about Aniston and Pitt's wedding?"

That wasn't the only lavish detail from Aniston and Pitt's wedding, which Marie Claire reports came with a $1 million price tag. The former bride and groom also hired a celebrity performer to keep guests entertained. "Billy Preston performed," Rapaport told Cohen. "A lot of bucks there." Marie Claire also reports that Melissa Etheridge took to the stage to perform "Whole Lotta Love.”

Other epic details from the celebration? The party, which took place an ultra-private Malibu estate, was decorated with floral arrangements with over 50,000 roses and tulips, featured a lobster dinner, and ended with a fireworks display. In addition to Rapaport, celebrity guests included Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Edward Norton, Salma Hayek, David Spade, Dermot Mulroney, and Cameron Diaz.

While there's no exact word on when Pitt proposed to Aniston, the duo did take to the stage at a Sting concert on November 29, 1999, where they showed off the bride-to-be's new engagement ring. The ring, which featured a number of round-cut diamonds, cost a reported $500,000.

After ending their marriage, Pitt went on to marry Angelina Jolie on August 23, 2014, while Aniston tied the knot with Justin Theroux roughly one year later on August 5, 2015; both marriages also ended in divorce. By 2018, Aniston and Theroux decided to separate and Pitt and Jolie went their separate ways in 2019.
