Austin Tilly 10hp 1:35
I finished her up today.
I lost the kit wipers and had to make some up. Tamiya did not supply rear lights (I don't think they used them in WWII) so I made my own. I also made the bonnet stay and the tail gate stays.
In the end I went with the tarp on the roof instead of the sign board. The reason being, if you check the WIP, you will see some bad paint on the roof, where I messed up some. I set the tarp in place to see what it looked like before the dirty cellulose thinners I soaked it in, had dried properly. DOH!!!
It's not meant to be super shiney. It's meant to represent an ex WWII Tilly sold to a civilian garage owner, who has given it a quick 'flash' paint job. It will eventually be placed on the forecourt of my 'Mile End garage' diorama.
Should've dusted it first!!! LOL

Great job Al. You nailed it with the tarp; the save of the front with the tire and rolled tarp was brilliant. What's next???

Thanks guys.
John.... made a fresh start on Paddy Hopkirk's Monty winning Mini tonight and tomorrow I'll get back on to Mile End Garage.
Assuming I can find those products you showed me at your place, I'm going to give it a weathered corrugated iron roof.

Great job, Al. I love seeing nicely detailed builds in the smaller scales. Fine work all around.

Super little truck. I really like the half open window. That gives it a realistic look.

Thanks everyone.
Lookout for two more in this scale for Mile End Garage, plus an Indian Motorcycle.

Skid,
A superbly done model. You r attention to detail is evident throughout this model. And with it being 1/35th scale, that is a difficult task.
GREAT JOB!!!
