Lugo Elementary is a public Pre-K through sixth grade school located in the vibrant urban community of Lynwood, California. With approximately 480 students, Lugo Elementary has a tradition of academic excellence and providing a caring learning environment for our students. Teachers and staff are dedicated to making a difference in students lives and encouraging academic and social excellence through shared learning experiences. We are committed to helping our students reach their fullest potential and create lifelong learners who will contribute positively to the world.

Lugo Students take 1st & 3rd place in FHA Poster Contest

On April 2nd the fair housing foundation came to lugo and taught our fourth through sixth grade students what fair housing means ever since then our students worked on a poster that entered them to win a poster contest. Today we learned that Irany L. from Ms. Ellis’s class won first place and Shiya also from Ms. Ellis’s class won third place. All our students did a fantastic job and competed against many other little artists in LA county. We are so proud that two of our very own Lugo Lions represented this annual poster contest
