Sakura Haruno's narcissism.

Warning: Sakura fans or SS fans dni, this post isn't for you.

A lot of people say that Sakura Haruno is poorly written and even unrealistic, but when I consider it, Sakura is actually an extremely realistic and even an interesting character in her own toxic way in my opinion, neither was she poorly written. Yeah, as much as I detest her.

Just bear with me here.

When I first started to read/watch Naruto, I remember thinking "God, Sakura is a terrible girl but I'm so glad that people like her don't exist". But the thing is people like Sakura do exist.

I was reading an article about narcissists and as I read it, it struck me that Sakura's personality traits meets those of narcissistic personality traits. Sakura's character completely baffled me as I was confused how can someone act the way she does, but after reading this article, it makes so much sense. This helps as well.

Sakura Haruno is a narcissist.

This also can be said for the majority of her fans, given how much they share Sakura's nearly exact personality and possibly intensified traits.

What is a narcissist?

From the source I've read it says that ' Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a mental health condition in which people have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance. They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them. People with this disorder may lack the ability to understand or care about the feelings of others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence, they are not sure of their self-worth and are easily upset by the slightest criticism.'

God, that sounds like perfect summary of Sakura's main personality, doesn't it? It explains a lot about her and her character starts to make sense, it also explains why her fans act the way they do, which I'll touch up on further.

Before I go on, some might think I'm exaggerating because sakura was shown to have good moments, but keep in mind that Studio pirriot added filler scenes into canon episodes in the anime to show Sakura in favourable light. An example is during pain's attack on Knonha, Sakura was shown to punch a monster to save a little girl. Fake. Sakura was also shown in that arc to go into the hospital and see that a whole bunch of civilians were injured and ordered that they be taken away by Kiba and some others and she told them to put different coloured bandages on to show the most and least injured, this was to show that Sakura was quick thinking, intelligent and her leadership skills. Fake. Another was when Naruto was practicing rasenshuriken and sakura made food pills and watched Naruto while he trained. Fake. She was just crying on her ass throughout that whole arc.

Sakura and her narcissism.

From the definition of narcissism above, this does describe Sakura. Sakura is incapable of understanding or caring abt the feelings and needs of others. The most vital example here would be Sasuke. Another is Naruto. But i'll go in to more detail later. Moving on, from the definition above, Sakura is shown to have need for admiration and seek attention, again the most obvious example would be Sasuke here. She has a high sense of self importance and is shown to have insecurities about herself. All of these I'll go into much more detail further on.

Sakura's traits of narcissism.

From the source, a trait of narcissism is that they're:

Preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate.'

Now, Sakura meets some of these. She's obsessed with winning the perfect mate, Sasuke. Do I need to say much here? Sakura also says that her goal is Sasuke when they have to introduce themselves. So yeah. This is also due to Sakura's high level of self-importance, which is what narcissists have and like a narcissist, she feels that she's important or special, and so, wants to associate mainly with others who have a high status and are also imporatant. This would be Sasuke, he is from an elite clan, a top student and is extremely popular with girls. He ticks all the boxes.

However, while narcissists hold a grand sense of self importance about themselves they are also insecure about themselves. And this is another reason why she latches onto Sasuke so hard, because by associating with someone who actually is important/successful/high class, then it helps Sakura to feel less insecure. Basically leeching of Sasuke’s popularity to feel better about herself and her self worth.

So Sakura would want to associate with Sasuke, which partly explains why Sakura is so obsessed with Sasuke, as its not only a shallow crush, it also feeds into Sakura's sense of self importance and self-esteem.

And she shown to consistently be vain and obsess over her looks. Especially as genin.

image

So Sakura meets this Narcissistic trait.

Feel depressed and moody because they fall short of perfection. Withdraw from or avoid situations in which they might fail.

image

A noteable example here would be that when the chuunin exams were approaching, Sakura felt insecure about her own abilities, as she knew that she wasn't up the standard abilities of her teammates, or even close, with this how could she hope to pass the exams?

This is because while narcissists love to brag about their achievements or talents or their abilities, they often haven't done anything to earn it or show for it. Which we see with Sakura. She continually brags and boasts yet, she's never shown to go out of her way to train or build up or expand her skills and abilities. An example would be this:

image

While Naruto was training with different forms of chakra, Sakura is shown to be crying. Again. Instead of training or building upon the skills she already has.

So coming back to the chuunin exams, she felt depressed due to her lack of abilities, with the chapter title even called 'Sakura's depression', and Sasuke noticing how gloomy she looked.

Narcissists brag and boast but they will withdraw from situations that they know they might fail in, as they're afraid of failing in front of others and being criticised and being seen for what they really are, it also probably hurts their sense of self importance and the grand image they hold of themselves. While she didn't withdraw from entering the exams in the end, she certainly looked like she was about to. As she knows that behind all her boasts and bragging, she has nothing to show for her skills and abilities and isn't on the same level as her teammates.

Be critical of and look down on people they feel arent important. And Behave in an arrogant way, brag a lot and come across as conceited. And React wirh contempt and belittle others to make themselves appear superior.

I'm going to talk about three narcissistic traits this time, as with Sakura, these three traits come tied together. Sakura is shown to criticise Naruto continually and think that he isn't important, a nobody. She thinks of him as an idiot, loser, dunce, troublemaker and someone who's dream of being hokage is crazy and so on.

Due to her low opinion on him, Sakura then proceeds to act conceited and arrogant and bilittle him, cuz she thinks she's superior then him.

image
image
image

There's more examples but this is enough.

Sakura also acts like she is better then Ino and does criticise Ino e.g, during their chuunin battle, she makes fun of Ino for being vain and looking after her looks. But why does Sakura act like she's better then Ino? Because Sakura got to be in the same team as Sasuke. So this is a 'win' and, as mentioned above, being associated with someone with a high status, Sasuke in this case, boosts Sakura's sense of self-importance, which is why she acts like she better then Ino, and acted superior during their chuunin fight.

So Sakura shares these narcissistic traits.

Have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, humiliation, and fear of being exposed as a failure.

image
image
image

Yup, Sakura does have insecurities about herself, about how weak and useless she is to her teammates. I'm pretty sure this was shown in the war arc but these are enough. Sakura, for all her boasting, knows that she's lacking in her abilities, skills and capabilities, and that she's a liability to her teammates and needs to be saved all the time. The funny thing here is that Sakura never does anything to change this.

Another area where Sakura has insecurities is her marriage to Sasuke. Sakura is extremely insecure about her 'marriage', how she has nothing to show for it and how Sasuke is never home. These insecurities are shown when she wears the Uchiha on her clothes and hangs the crest around the house as supposedly 'proof' that she and Sasuke are married (no ring or wedding photo? Next best thing is the crest which you have no knowledge of it's history), to make a statement that she is married to Sasuke and that she 'won'. Also how her 'marriage' to Sasuke is shady as heck and Sakura backbiting about Ino to Sarada, as shown when Sarada tried to keep Ino at a distance from Sasuke. These are all insecurities.

The fact that's Sasuke is never home either with no forms of contact, it's like a there no marriage at all. Sakura knows all of this, she must be feeling humiliation and definitely insecure, and this insecurity is triggered when salad Sarada points this all out, at Sakura's failed marriage, it then makes Sakura destroy her house and scare her daughter.

One thing to note about narcissists is that when they feel threatened or attacked by others, or someone confronting them about their reality or shattering their fantasy world, narcissists will respond with narcissistic rage. This is the narcissist's top response when threatened or attacked. And it includes 'sudden, intense outbursts of anger that can involve verbal threats, aggression and violence.'

image

Sakura felt threatened and attacked about Sarada exposing her failure at her marriage and insecurities, and sakura responded with narcissistic rage, in the form of aggression and violence.

There's also a third example of Sakura's secret insecurities. And this is her looks. Sakura is vain but at the same time is insecure about her looks, as shown in chapter three.

image

And then in another chapter, before the chuunin exams, Konohamaru points out at Sakura's poor looks, and mostly her huge forehead, which is Sakura's biggest insecurity about her looks. And then? Sakura responds with aggression and violence.

image

Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others.

There's a lot to say here. Sakura is either incapable of understanding others needs or she just really doesn't care. With Sasuke, she seems to purposely ignore what he wants as seen in both of her confessions as a kid and adult. What matters is her own. Hell, it doesn't matter if we're talking about avenging your family or taking over the world, Sakura simply does not care about his feelings or wishes. Only her own.

To add to this, Sakura couldn't care how it would affect her parents if she left the village when she asked Sasuke to take her. The pain and sorrow she would cause them.

image
image

Another critical example would be in chapter 3. Sakura makes fun of Naruto for being an orphan to Sasuke.....who's an orphan. Geez, I don't think even I have been that insensitive. Sakura doesn't care how that will affect Sasuke. To rub it in his face of her parents being alive (when she complains abt how annoying parent are), she's uncaring to how that would make Sasuke and Naruto feel.

Another example would be when she attempted to kill Sasuke. She never tried to understand why Sasuke turned cold, why he turned to the dark path. She's shown to acknowledge that there's some 'truth about Itachi', yet she never proceeds to ask what that might be about, in a attempt to understand Sasuke. And it makes sense. Why? Cuz Sakura is simply incapable of caring for others feelings and needs, they don't matter to her, only her own matters. To hell with what Sasuke wants or whatever he's feeling.

Another example is when Sakura faked confessed to Naruto but that's discussed in more detail further below.

image

Above here, Sakura realises that Hinata loves Naruto after her suicide attempt to confess to Naruto during his battle with Pein. Now, I don't care for Hinata or her selfish love but here again highlights Sakura's incapability to care for others feelings. She knows that Hinata loves Naruto, so what does she do? She hugs Naruto afterwards. If you know someone has feelings for someone else and in this case, she risked her life for him, why would you steal the spotlight which should of gone to her? Again, Sakura doesn't care for Hinata's love.

(Hinata's confession and suicide attempt was pathetic and selfish, I'm only using this as an example).

Frequently demeans, intimidates, bullies, or belittles others.

Now, Sakura's treatment towards Naruto would be an obvious example. But I want to use another example, which is how Sakura demeans, not just Naruto, but other women. Like here.

image
image

Sakura wanted Ino to be called ugly and be humiliated. Catty huh? From the source, narcissists feel threatened when they encounter someone who has something they lack, a quality, achievement, talent etc. What does Ino have? Confidence in her looks and who she is and popularity as seen when they're kids, and now, beauty according to Sai. While Sai said this to avoid angering Ino, Sakura doesn't know that and truly believes that he sees Ino as more beautiful then her.

Sakura lacks this kind of girl confidence and popularity and beauty, while Ino has it all. So, she's a threat to Sakura and her ego and insecurities.

So, what narcissists will do to rid this 'threat', is to resort to being contemptuous, which is their defense mechanism. Which is what we see here with Sakura. Ino is a 'threat' and competition in Sakura's eyes, and she results to being catty. By being contemptuous, and getting rid of the 'threat', it helps boosts their own ego and makes them feel better abt themselves.

There's also during the war arc where Sakura was demeaning to Tsuande, her own teacher. Sakura crows about not needing to waste chakra on her looks, while Tsunade does. Same thing from above.

Another interesting example that can be thrown in would be Sasuke. Now, I'm not going to talk abt Sakura, but her fans that project into her and are also narcissists which I'll expand on later. In Sasuke retsudumb, Sasuke is made to be dumb, lazy and just an overall useless bum. While Sakura is made to be the opposite of all of these. This is because Narcissists feel threatened by others who have things they don't as previously mentioned. Neither can they stand someone being more successful, important, better then them in any way. This is with narcissistic Sakura fans, which is most of them.

Sasuke is shown to be independent, highly intelligent, an extremely skilled and resourceful fighter and most importantly, is the hottest and most desireable characters throughout the entire series. Sakura fan's do not want someone, rather can't stand, someone being better then them in any way, they desire these traits Sasuke has for themselves. They want to be the most desirable, successful, talented, beautiful and intelligent person there. Considering Sasuke has these desireable traits, they see him as a threat.

So now, in Sasuke retsudumb, they've given all the desirable traits to Sakura, which is really them in their projection, whilst taking away Sasukes desireable traits and making him less desireable, talented, intelligent etc. He's demeaned so much in retsudumb that he's unrecognizable. They're (Sakura fans) are now less insecure and Sasuke is less of a threat, all the while boosting their ego.

Become impatient or angry when they don't receive special recognition or treatment.

image
image

Lol, these are the faces she made when Sasuke ignored her and she then proceeds to scream once again, her undying obsession love. She certainly looks mad as a bull in the first one, doesn't she? Sasuke is the one she craves attention and recognition from the most and yet she doesn't get it. And so, becomes angry or certainly looks as if she's about to fight tooth and nail for even a drop of attention or for him to actually look at her.

Speaking of which, she doesn't receive the treatment, attention and recognition she wants from Sasuke. But who does? Naruto. The recognition, attention and treatment she craves goes all to Naruto. Of course she's going to jealous and angry over this, which explains why she frequently beats up Naruto, yells and bilittles him. Taking her anger out on him for receiving something she's always wanted.

Expect special favours and expect other people to do what they want without questioning them.

Remember all the times Sakura has asked Naruto to bring Sasuke back? Yeah.... Despite the way Sakura yells, beats up, belittles and criticises Naruto, she doesn't feel any shame in asking him to get Sasuke for her.

Another big example would be when Sakura faked confessed to Naruto. She expected Naruto to stop chasing after Sasuke just because she said so because she seriously thinks she's that important, ignoring/oblivious to the fact that Naruto also cares for Sasuke and has a bond with him and would try to get him back not just for her.

But here, Sakura's heightened sense of self-importance is showing, remember, narcissists carry a high grandiose sense of self importance. She thinks that it's because of her Naruto is going so far, again, ignoring/oblivious of Narutos personal bond with Sasuke.

Sakura thinks that she's so important and that by saying 'stop chasing Sasuke', Naruto would stop. Which isn't the case. Lol, her pathetic face when she's being questioned why, however, this scene also shows again, Sakura's inability to recognize Naruto’s feelings and needs as with Sasuke.

image

When Naruto refuses and says it isn't because of her, Sakura throws a hissy fit. This could be Sakura's narcissistic rage showing again because she got rejected and in turn humiliated, or that Naruto exposed her and her lies. Or both.

image

Take advantage of others to get what they want.

There's two specific vital examples I wanna use here. Number 1. Here, Naruto had injured his arm learning rasenshiruken and having trouble picking up the chopsticks, Sakura sees this and offers to feed Naruto. Really kind, right? WRONG. Sakura is shown to have a flashback of her and Naruto’s previous conversation. The main bit for Sakura in this conversation is how closer they're (more like how Naruto is), getting to Sasuke. Sakura knows deep inside that Naruto is the only one that's capable of reaching out to Sasuke and getting him to come home, she knows that she doesn't have this special place with Sasuke or the same bond.

image
image

So she offers to feed Naruto to get him to heal much quicker cuz the quicker he recovers, the quicker he can get his ass back out there to bring Sasuke home for her.

So yeah, she took advantage of him here to get Sasuke. Pretty manipulative and cunning huh?

Number 2. Sakura hugging Naruto when he's acknowledged as a hero. Now, she's never done this before, so it's downright weird as heck to do it now. She hugs him in front of the village as if she's making a statement to everyone watching, "Look at me, I'm by his side, I've always been by his side, when he was a nobody, so I deserve to be here now."

image

Now, I'm not speculating about this cuz I hate her, but Sakura never hugged him before. Why now? Because Naruto is now a hero, he's now going to be famous and popular. As already stated, Sakura wants to associate herself with those that are popular/successful/important mainly due to her high sense of self-importance and insecurities. Because Sasuke isn't here to leech off of, Naruto here will do, as he's now important and famous.

So by hugging Naruto, Sakura gets to leech off some of Naruto’s spotlight and hard earned accolades in a way. Other examples that could be thrown in here as examples for this trait is Sakura using Naruto to bring Sasuke back and ditching Ino when she finally has no use for her.

So yeah, Sakura takes advantage of others, mainly Naruto, to get something in return.

Narcissists lack empathy.

Sakura is shown to lack empathy on several occasions. A big example here is making fun of Naruto for being an orphan whilst rubbing in Sasuke’s face how alive her parents are. Here, Sakura is incapable of putting herself in Naruto’s and Sasuke’s shoes, what it's like to be lonely, to have no parents, to receive no love, to have no family, to constantly feel pain over the loss/having no parents. She's just being gleeful and spiteful here because she thinks Sasuke will agree with her which would give her a 'win.'

How that horribly backfires.

Another example is when Sasuke is leaving the village and Sakura confesses. She's incapable of understanding Sasuke’s reasons for revenge and how much it means to him, she's incapable of understanding the depth of love Sasuke has for his family and how much that means to him and motivates him. She's incapable of understanding his rage, his pain, his loneliness amd how that causes him to act.

She's completely unable to put herself in his shoes, neither does she show any signs of empathy in this scene regarding Sasuke, such as crying for his sake, or his pain or his loss. She's only crying cuz he's leaving and she won't be able to be with him and that he doesn't tell her anything. It's explicitly clear here that Sakura doesn't care abt Sasukes revenge, pain, loss or goals. She only cares abt her own goal, which is Sasukes pants.

Another example is when she embarrassingly failed to kill or even land a scratch on Sasuke.

image

Here, Sasuke screamed at Kakashi to bring back his family and clan and only then he will proceed to stop his rage and madness. Now, when I read this scene in the manga, I felt extreme pain through this panel. Sasuke is so full of excruciating pain and deep sorrow that it fuels his rage and darkness. Sakura, who supposedly 'loves' him, doesn't show any signs of empathy. Not the slightest. She acknowledged he turned cold, yet she doesn't show any care for the pain he's going through, despite him screaming the cause of his pain. The unfair loss of his family and clan. She ain't crying or showing sadness about his pain. Again, lack of empathy and inability to care for other people's feeling and needs, even those she claims to love.

Narcissist's sense of entitlement.

Sakura feels entitled to have a place in Sasuke’s heart and feels entitled to his love, despite not doing anything to show why she should. Unless you consider screaming and crying all the time. Sakura feels entitled to have a place in the Uchiha clan just cuz she 'married' one (supposedly?), changing her surname to Uchiha and brazenly wearing the Uchiha crest and hanging the crest happily around her house. She acts entitled by expecting Naruto to bring Sasuke back to her purely cuz she says so, despite her unkind treatment towards Naruto. She acts entitled by begging Sasuke to not leave the village and expecting him to stay, purely cuz she said so. She expected Naruto to stop chasing after Sasuke purely cuz she said so.

Have difficulty managing their emotions and behaviour.

Experience major problems dealing with stress and adapting to change.

image

Yeah, she can't deal with stress. Or manage her emotions. For God's sake, Where's her emotional/mental growth?

Another example is when Sakura destroyed her house due to her daughter's persistent questions. Sakura clearly has no control over her behaviour and emotions of rage and insecurities as she proceeded to scream and destroyed their house. Sakura is also crying all the time and easily gets upset, an example here would be when Karui called her annoying, Sakura started to cry. However, this also could be because narcissists cannot bear any criticism as it injures their grandiose image they hold of themselves, or Sakura could be crying because being called 'annoying' reminds her of Sasuke calling her annoying.

She clearly can't manage her emotions. What, with the way she can't handle her rage, or crying all the time or cant choose an appropriate time to confess her love, or the way she quickly gets angry over nothing and beats Naruto and occasionally sai.

Sakura's fan base

We've covered Sakura but there's three more narcissistic traits I want to mention, but rather then relate it to Sakura, these traits are more applicable to her fans. Not all of her fans, but a vast majority anyway. This is because the majority of her fans are narcissists just like Sakura. Which is why they act so much like her. So all the traits previously mentioned apply to her fans as well as Sakura.

Moving forward.

Make achievements and talents seem bigger then they are.

Oooh boy, how familiar does this sound? I remember reading a post about how Sakura would be a much better student and flourish more if she were Orochimaru's student rather then Sasuke. The post continued to list about Sakura's canon personality traits and abilities, however, they were exaggerating it to a great extent. To such an extent, that it started to sound a bit....ridiculous?

Actually, very much ridiculous.

This is something that the majority of her fans do, when they defend Sakura, they talk about how she learnt to heal and punch or her ability to memorise and anything else but they exaggerate and make it out to be something worthwhile and noteworthy and bigger then it is.

And when they do, they talk in such a convincing way that it almost sounds true. But it's just big, delusional talk at the end, talk of could of should of would of.

Feel that they deserve privileges and special treatment.

Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements .

I'm going to talk abt two traits this time. Obviously, Sakura fans insert/project themselves into Sakura, so they're not seeing or talking abt the Canon Sakura, Sakura is just a vehicle/tool used to carry out and fulfill their needs. Because of this, this is why her fans always chant about how much Sakura deserves better, why she was done wrong and why she should be entitled to something better or bigger.

Because what they really are saying, through Sakura, is that they themselves deserve better and should be entitled to special privileges, treatment and titles etc.

Sakura hasn't had any noteworthy achievements, the only one worth mentioning is her fight against Saori, but that wasn't exactly due to Sakura's own abilities alone, but granny Chiyo who controlled her. So, even though Sakura hasn't achieved much throughout the story, her fans still believe that Sakura should be recognised as superior. As someone who's great, hardworking, brilliant and incredibly intelligent. Someone worthy, such as the strongest kunochi and the best medic. Yet Sakura hasn't done anything to achieve these titles.

This is a reflection of her fans, they want to be recognised as superior and great, even without any actual achievements or putting in any real effort to work for these titles and earn it.

Lives in a fantasy world that supports their delusions.

Yeah, remember all of Sakura's fan's embarrassing headcanons? I think the prime example here would be Sasuke retsuden. It offers and supports everything they want that canon doesn't. Sakura is a girlboss, Sakura is intelligent, the most desireable and hot person there, a brillant kunochi and medic and so on.

And they cling so hard to this pathetic, cringy and embarrassing novel. But the main thing is that it supports their delusions and the fantasy world they've conjured up, it upholds their grandiose sense of self importance and the grand image they hold of themselves, where Sasuke actually does love Sakura (their projection) and everything else mentioned above, which is why they cling so hard to it. This is the same where they cling hard to other novels, databooks, interviews and anything else, as long as it supports their fantasy world and delusions.

Another prime example relates directly to Sakura herself. In gaiden. She goes about happily hanging clothes (and Uchiha crests), dusting shelves and buying flowers and looking after her daughter. Living in this make belief world that her life and marriage is all fine and dandy, when we all know that it's not true. That is until Sarada comes along and shatters that fantasy by confronting Sakura abt the truth, and she responds with narcissistic rage.

So yeah, her fans construct this fantasy world of delusions, where Sasuke loves Sakura and anything else they desire, and they cling to any content that supports their world and delusions, be it novels, databooks, fillers, interviews, fanfiction.

Lack of empathy

Something interesting to me is also how it's not just Sakura that lacks empathy as previously discussed above, but her fans also lack empathy. Mainly reffering to Sasuke here. Considering Sasuke is part of their main ship you would think they would have some sort of love for him, but no, they don't. A vast majority of Sakura fan's lack empathy towards Sasuke, they complain about how he only got more edgy and murdery while totally ignoring his backstory and the events that affect and shape him.

Like Sakura, they're incapable of feeling empathy towards anyone else and catering and understanding anyone elses needs but their own. Hence why they only care abt Sakura's needs and feelings as its really their own, through projection.

Preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate.'

This has already been mentioned in relation to Sakura, but I wanna add here something in relations to her fans.

Remember, narcissists are concerned about themselves and love to conjure and believe in these false fantasy worlds and delusions where they're successful or powerful or important or they're desired by everyone. They also want to associate themselves with important or succesful people as mentioned in the begining.

Because of that, it now makes sense to me why Sakura is shipped so hard with every character in the series, including from other series, such as haikyuu. As it's not just about Sakura fans projecting into Sakura to carry out their horny needs, it's also about them conjuring these fantasies where they're associated with and equal (or above!) important characters (Sasuke, every male Uchiha, Oikawa from haikyuu and god knows who else), where they're the most successful, where they're the most talented, intelligent and so on. Which is obviously in the form of fanfictions. These stories fulfill their delusions and fantasies. And Sakura is the vehicle/tool to carry it out.

While I'm probably saying the obvious, it baffled me at first why she has a fanbase to start with and why she was a popular one to ship with others as it made no sense, but now I have a much better understanding, so yeah, this whole post was mainly for my understaning.

Conclusion.

So yeah, Sakura Haruno is a narcissist (and most of her fanbase). It explains so much about the behaviour of Sakura and her fans. I found it extremely interesting and kinda fun. Maybe it seems hugely exaggerated and going too far, but Sakura ticks waaay too much of these boxes to dismiss this, neither do I think I'm far off the mark.

The only 'title' Sakura has earned is 'narcissist'.

Is it me? Or the author of Retsuden never really thought about Sakura's strength considering this is a Shounen Anime.

Let us have a reminder here Sakura stans hype the fight with Sasori.

image

You can see this is teen Sakura and she was still standing healing herself even before Chiyo injected medicine to her.

Sasori is an Akatsuki member with a very dangerous poison and he's a protoge in puppetry.

She was also stabbed by Madara.

image

She regenerated quickly. Of course we already know who Madara is.

Then in Sasuke Retsuden we have this.

image

She didn't even sensed he was about to stab her, I thought she's a sensory Ninja of objects in this novel?

image

She collapsed after being stabbed by a kunai just from a guy named Jiji. The author seems more focused on the lovey dovey parts and seemed to not read the manga. Some Sakura stans don't care. They just want to be a self insert and have Sakura what they want.
