REAL BODIES at Horseshoe Las Vegas offers guests the opportunity to explore the human body like never before. Through a series of curated exhibits and interactive experiences, REAL BODIES delves into anatomy, humanity, culture and more. Here’s a look at the incredible and unforgettable things you’ll find as you walk through the galleries at REAL BODIES.

The Introduction

Upon entering the exhibit, there is a simple, pinewood coffin and the first full-body specimen in the experience, which includes a look at the skeletal system and soft tissue.

Anatomist’s Study

Inside an old-world room, visitors will learn about the various ways human remains have been preserved throughout time. From Ancient Egyptian anatomists to 19th century academics, these scientists paved the way for a better understanding of our bodies and skeletal system, and this gallery explains why bones are so vital to life as we know it.

Breathe

Exploring the respiratory system through scenic installations, this gallery explores the lungs, lung disease, and the significance of breath in religions around the world.

Hunger

The digestive system turns the food we eat into the essential nutrients and fuel we need to survive. Not only does this part of the experience explore how our bodies breakdown food and liquids, but also dives into our evolution as hunters and gatherers.

Rhythm

The heart creates the drumbeat of our lives—and the circulatory system accounts for nearly 100,000 miles of arteries, capillaries, and veins that run throughout our body. This gallery allows you to learn about the circulatory system through glowing, 3-dimensional displays in a darkened room.

Move

Action! The human muscular system is the complex machine that allows us to move through our daily lives and explore the world we live in. This gallery presents bodies in different active poses that illustrate what our muscles are doing as we move our bodies.

Repair

Healing is something our bodies often intrinsically know how to do, and this gallery explores healing, disease, modern medicine, quality of life, and more.

Think

When it comes to the brain, scientists and researchers know so much, and yet there are still so many questions left unanswered. With whole brains and spinal cords on display, this gallery demonstrates the connectedness of the nervous system and the incredible organ of the brain.

Beginnings

The first stages of life are on display in a quiet, thoughtful setting, allowing visitors to view embryonic and fetal displays for a better understanding of how human life begins.

Love

Love is both a physical and emotional endeavor, and for humans, certain elements of biological attraction is believed to be hardwired. This includes that we find attractive, both individually and culturally, and other messages of attraction like scent. This gallery also explores the reproductive system and how our human drive to procreate has transformed into our modern understanding of love, commitment, and relationship.

What becomes of us?

Every culture in the world has rituals for death and honoring the dead, and this gallery explores many of them while asking guests to reflect on where we might go when we die, what we leave behind, and what follows this life.
