Tom Bergeron put down the mic and temporarily walked out of the Dancing With the Stars ballroom to explore his family tree on TLC’s Who Do You Think You Are, airing this Sunday on TLC.

In this exclusive clip, Bergeron learns more about a far-back relative named Marguerite, one of the first female immigrants from France to Canada. An expert explains that Marguerite was a fille du roi (“daughter of the king”), one of the first female immigrants from France to Canada who were sent to bolster the population and establish the New World.

Apparently, having a fille du roi in your family is a great source of pride in Canada, much in the same way Americans discover a relative came over on the Mayflower. In other words, Bergeron comes from royalty, y’all!

Who Do You Think You Are? airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
