ALEXANDER, Roberta St.Clair, 50, of Roanoke, died peacefully at home with her husband and children on Monday, August 11, 1997 after a six month battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Lena Alexander, her mother, Pauline St.Clair and one brother, Hugh St.Clair. She is survived by her husband, Carl L. Alexander; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Michael Walters; grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Walters, II, of Buchanan; son, Steven St.Clair and granddaughter, Toneesha, of Roanoke; daughter, Dawn St.Clair and granddaughter, Ayjai, of Roanoke; daughters, Whitney and Natasha Alexander, both of the home; stepdaughter, Renee Alexander; and two stepgrandchildren, Miaarka Lovess and Dealos Alexander, both of Roanoke; stepson, Carl Alexander, Jr., Roanoke; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Warren and Evelyn St.Clair, Cloverdale, Homer St.Clair, Scofield St.Clair, both of Troutville, Fannie Watson, Roanoke; five sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy St.Clair, Troutville, Nina Wells, Mary St.Clair, both of Montvale, Alice Varelos, Roanoke, Betty and William Cash, Troutville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 15, 1997, at the Rader Daleville Chapel, with Pastor Jay Robinette and the Rev. Jimmy Young officiating. Interment will follow in the St.Clair Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special thanks to Larry Jones and Debbie Quick-Conner of Hospice, and all the other nurses of Home Health Care and Hospice.
