Chris was a Senior Engineer for the Foxboro IPS Technical Assistance Center for 12 years specializing in mechanical instrumentation application and service. Prior to that Chris was a Senior Instructor for the Foxboro Company Training Center where he instructed many of its sales force, service providers and customers on a wide range of mechanical instrumentation. Before becoming an instructor Chris held the position of Manufacturing Engineer working at the Foxboro Company East Bridgewater facilities.
He was the treasurer of Citizens for Environmental Justice of Greater Fall River, Inc., a member of Save Our Neighborhoods, the Good Sam + Fox’s Den Camping Clubs and was an avid member of the Massachusetts Miata Club.
Besides Cecile, Chris is survived by sons, David C. Dawson of Manchester, NH and Matthew A. Dawson of Carver, MA, daughter, Amy E. Dawson of Albany, Louisiana, sisters, Irene Heroux, Audrey White and Nancy Condon and her husband Edward, grandsons, Zachary and Christian, former wife, Kathy Downie and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was also the husband of the late Doris (Patten) Dawson.
His funeral service was held on in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, celebrated by Rev. Catherine Michael and Rev. John Tormey. He was honored with delegations from The Foxboro Co., IPS and the Mass. Miata Club.
Pallbearers were Rick Chretien, Clifford Reid, Bob Duluk, Adam Benevides, Carl Santos, John McPhee, Fred McPhee, Bruce McPhee, Andrew Condon and Peter Condon. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery Fall River MA.
