'Star Wars' is one of the most famous franchises in movie history.

In recent years, other series in the universe such as 'The Mandalorian' have been released. However, from 2015 to 2019, three films were released, the first of which was 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.

One of the aspects that fans liked the most was that the cast was made up of new actors like Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac, in addition to veteran stars like Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (General Leia) and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker).

Mark Hamill was paid between one and three million dollars to appear in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' for 30 seconds

The most curious thing is that Hamill only appears at the end of the film, but his brief cameo was not exactly proportional to what the actor earned. The actor appears for just 30 seconds on screen and charged between one and three million dollars for his appearance.

Carrie Fisher earned the same, although she is a big part of the film. Harrison Ford was the one who earned the most money with 20 million, which was much more than his former colleagues.

Hamill did appear more in the sequel, 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'. He was one of the main characters, being Rey's mentor. As a result he charged more money, and it is believed that he earned between five and 10 million dollars.

The last 'Star Wars' movie was in 2019 when 'Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker' was released. Since then George Lucas' studio has turned to making series like 'The Mandalorian', 'Andor' and 'Ahsoka', though Lucasfilm is expected to return with new movies.
