Elwyn was honored to host the 2023 State Forum this morning. The event, organized by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, offers a valuable platform for engagement and learning. It brings together state legislators from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and business leaders from Delaware County. Elwyn's President and CEO, Chuck McLister, extended a warm welcome to approximately 60 attendees and provided an update and overview of Elwyn. We are thrilled to announce BII’s satellite office in Springfield, MA! The office, which will be led by BII’s Technical Assistance and Field Building Manager Samalid Hogan, is housed at and in strategic partnership with the Latino Economic Development Corporation. Yesterday, we were honored to host an office sign unveiling and press conference at LEDC. We are grateful to have been joined by Springfield’s business and civic leaders who welcomed us with open arms alongside representatives from the Office of the Governor of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Economic Development, MassDevelopment, and the Office of State Rep. Angelo Puppolo. A special thanks to LEDC’s Andrew Melendez for his partnership, generosity, and vision to bridge the best of our resources in the Western and Eastern parts of our Commonwealth. Thank you to the elected officials who joined us and underscored the necessity and importance of small and micro businesses that are the backbone of our economy: State Rep Carlos Gonzalez, State Rep Orlando Ramos, and Springfield City Councilors: Tracye Whitfield, Kateri Walsh, Zaida Govan, and Justin Hurst.
