Media Theatre’s State Street Miracles, a musical troupe of adults with disabilities, sing God Bless America during a performance at the 2009 Friends of Elwyn Festival.
The festival, a long standing tradition, was on Sept. 12 and brought together more than 300 current residents, alumni and their families for a special Elwyn family reunion and day of fun. This year’s event attracted the help of about 100 volunteers, who were engaged in everything from setting up for the event, to facilitating the day’s events and providing general support. The volunteers included employees from GlaxoSmithKline, Vanguard and Boeing, to name a few.
