Lina Medina became the youngest known mother in medical history in 1939. Currently aged 85, she delivered a baby boy when she was 5 year 7 months and 21 days old. Her parents took her to doctor due to increase in her abdominal size. The doctor confirmed after her checkup that she was 7 months pregnant at that time. She named her son Gerardo, after the doctor who performed her caesarean section. Her son weighed 2.7kg at the time of birth.
