It's nice to have X Factor judges that actually get on - but it seems Cheryl Fernandez-Vercini and Mel B are mates off-screen, regardless of what tensions have occurred (or are yet to come) on the show.

On the Jonathon Ross show, due to air tonight, Mel said she'd only do a second series if Cheryl was signed on to do it to - as well as joke-throttling her. In a friend way, obviously. 'I peeped her a little bit because I wanted to see exactly what she was like, and she is like a strong, independent, gorgeous woman so I knew that I’d get on with her straight away. How can you not?'

Cheryl also revealed that she's up for a Spice Girls/Girls Aloud love collaboration which got us really pumped. 'We want to actually do a themed weekend [of live shows] where it’s Girls Aloud versus Spice Girls, that would be fun right!' she said, with Mel calling out, 'I hope you’re watching that Simon, make it happen!' They've certainly got the connections to make it happen - please, please make it happen. C'mon Si.

Cheryl then went on to say how she'd been learning French words from husband Jean-Bernard, that married life is 'great' but Jonathon had a bit of trouble pronouncing her new double barrelled name. We're glad she dropped Cole, though. For obvious reasons.
