This 1989 Peugeot 505 Turbo wagon was purchased new by the seller at Tenafly Peugeot in New Jersey and now shows 117k miles. The car is finished in silver over gray leather and powered by a turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a Garrett turbocharger, a top-mounted intercooler, an Alpine AM/FM cassette stereo, air conditioning, heated front seats, fog lights, roof rails, body-color bumper covers, and 15” alloy wheels. This 505 Turbo wagon is offered with manufacturer’s literature, records dating to 1989, spare parts, and a duplicate New York State title in the name of the seller and their spouse.
The body has been repainted in silver and features body-color rocker panel trim and bumper covers. Equipment includes sealed-beam headlights, fog lights, roof rails, and a rear windshield wiper. The rear window washer nozzle and the right rear jack point cover are missing. Rust is present under the leading edge of the hood, the front bumper cover is warped, and the fog lights are misaligned. The Carfax report lists “minor damage” in October 2010, and the seller notes that the left rear bumper cover gasket is missing.
Eight-spoke 15” alloy wheels wear Peugeot center caps and are mounted with 195/65 Kelly Edge A/S tires. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes up front and drums out back.
The cabin features heated front bucket seats and a folding rear bench trimmed in gray leather with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, an Alpine AM/FM cassette stereo, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The driver’s seat is said to have been reupholstered in 2019, and the seller notes that the passenger-side mirror adjustment motor is inoperative. There is a tear in the headliner above the left rear seat, and wear on the leather upholstery can be viewed in the gallery.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation including a tachometer with an inset boost pressure gauge as well as a 155-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 117k miles.
The turbocharged 2.2L N9TEA inline-four was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 205 lb-ft of torque. The engine features Bosch LU-Jetronic fuel injection along with a Garrett turbocharger and a top-mounted intercooler. The radiator and distributor rotor are said to have been replaced in 2020, and an oil change was last performed in June 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. There are holes in the muffler, and additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with service records dating to 1989.
The Carfax report lists the aforementioned October 2010 damage report and shows history in New York State.
The New York State title is listed as a duplicate, and a redacted copy is viewable in the gallery.
