Leonardo DiCaprio Got a Scathing Review From a Server-Turned-Reality-Star Who Waited On Him in a Nightclub

Leonardo DiCaprio often makes waves for his knockout roles in films such as Killers of the Flower Moon, or for his headline-grabbing romantic escapades. However, today’s narrative takes a detour from the usual. It’s not about his acting prowess or the age of the latest supermodel he’s dating. Instead, the spotlight is on a rather intimate critique from a reality star who once served him at a posh New York nightclub, namely on how he presented himself.

Jordan Emanuel, who was crowned Playboy’s Playmate of the Year back in 2019, transitioned from nightlife serving to being a part of the reality television scene. The Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard star recently shared her experience serving the Titanic star at a high-end New York City nightclub and how his scent made her want to jump ship, despite the fact that he was a “fine” and “lovely” person.

“Several times I used to serve him,” Emanuel recalled when asked by Page Six if she had ever served DiCaprio during her time working in New York’s bustling night life scene.

“He dresses like he smells, and I’m like, this is crazy!” she recalled. When asked to elaborate on an “ensemble that you remember looked a little smelly,” she gave the rundown of what seems to be a standard ‘fit for DiCaprio: “OK so, socks like mine but not cute, like white tennis socks, you know what I mean, very old dirty sneakers, cargo shorts cream, white baggy T-shirt and a baseball hat.”

To be clear, Emanuel didn’t say that he actually smelled. In fact he “smelled fine,” but “just looked dirty” to the reality star. She even said she would have “swerved” DiCaprio, but added that any future romantic partner of hers “just needs to look clean” — which apparently doesn’t include the casual wear that makes up most of DiCaprio’s day-to-day sartorial choices.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time DiCaprio’s scent has been a topic of discussion. Miriam Margolyes, the British-Australian actress who worked with DiCaprio on the 1996 film Romeo + Juliet, also had something to say about the actor’s hygiene. According to Margolyes, the then 18-year-old DiCaprio was a bit “smelly” due to the hot filming location in Mexico.

“He was a bit smelly because it was very hot in Mexico and young boys don’t make themselves fragrant, they don’t wash all the bits,” she revealed during a 2022 appearance on the U.K. breakfast show, This Morning, per Newsweek.

Despite these comments on his personal scent, it seems unlikely that DiCaprio will trade his casual, unassuming style for a more polished look anytime soon. Still, one thing remains clear: DiCaprio continues to captivate, regardless of how he dresses or what he might smell like. After all, his reported current girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, seems to have no issues with the actor, including his scent.
