Juan Jose Escamilla, age 68, of Harlingen, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. He was born January 4, 1954, in Rio Hondo, Texas to Pablo Escamilla and Esperanza G. Escamilla.

Juan is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Esperanza Escamilla; and his siblings, Linda Escamilla Gallardo, Pablo Escamilla Jr., Jose L. Escamilla, and Ernesto Castillo.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his loving wife, Celina Escamilla; children, Juan Jose Escamilla Jr. (Lorenza) and Amanda Escamilla (Ramon Gonzalez); siblings, Esperanza Hope Escamilla (Jerry Gutierrez) and Julio Escamilla (Tammy); four grandchildren, Trini Rivera, Sierra Vasquez, Ramon Gonzalez IV, and Samilynn Gonzalez; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 10:00 am at Trinity Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in La Feria, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jenaro Tamez, Andres Gonzalez, Larry Garza, Benito Garza Jr., Rey Castillo, Ramon B. Gonzalez Jr., and Jose Azua. Honorary pallbearers are Juan Jose Escamilla Jr., Ramon Gonzalez III, and Ramon Gonzalez IV.
