Equine Museum of Japan, together with the JRA Racing Museum is holding an exhibition by renown Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano. For over half a century, Amano, known for his delicate yet fascinating artwork, has also become recognized for his character design, illustrations, stage art, custom design, and more. He has created numerous award-winning works over a wide range of genres and mediums. Since the late 1990s, he has exhibited in the world’s major cities including Paris and New York and has become internationally acclaimed. The two venues will showcase the numerous illustrations of fantastical beasts based on the motif of the horse such as Pegasus, unicorns, centaurs and more that Amano has created for fantasy novels. More than 30 new works will be on display, including horses and other creatures from the popular game series “Final Fantasy”.
