It might be one of the strangest rock shows Nashville has seen in years.

This Wednesday, three oddball bands will share the stage at Nashville's Exit/In, each combining heavy metal with an unlikely strand of pop culture.

So how weird will this night get? Let's start at the top.

Mac Sabbath

Hometown: Los Angeles, California

What's their deal?: This quartet dresses up like twisted versions of Ronald McDonald and his "McDonaldland" pals, and their songs are parodies of Black Sabbath classics, each with a fast-food bent.

Sample song titles: "Frying Pan" (a parody of "Iron Man"), "Pair-a-buns" ("Paranoid")

Metalachi

Hometown: Hollywood, California via Juarez, Mexico

What's their deal?: Spandex meets sombreros — Metalachi, as you might have guessed, plays pure mariachi renditions of heavy metal and classic rock hits.

Sample covers: "Hot For Teacher," "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Breakin' the Law"

Okilly Dokilly

Hometown: Phoenix, Arizona

What's their deal?: One "Simpsons" character shapes this metalcore band's entire existence: Ned Flanders, the squeaky-clean, hyper-religious neighbor of Homer and Marge. Not only does every member wear Ned's signature mustache, glasses and sweater, their lyrics crib from Flanders' quotes in classic "Simpsons" episodes.

Sample song titles: "White Wine Spritzer," "Godspeed Little Doodle," "Donut Hell"

If You Go

Mac Sabbath, Metalachi and Okilly Dokilly perform at Exit/In on Wednesday, March 15. The 18+ show starts at 9 p.m., and tickets are $17-$20.
