La colombiana Juliana Velásquez se llevó este jueves el premio al mejor nuevo artista en la gala de los Latin Grammy que se está celebrando en Las Vegas (EE.UU.)
Velásquez se impuso en esta prestigiosa categoría a los también nominados Giulia Be, María Becerra, Bizarrap, Boza, Zoe Gotusso, Humbe, Rita Indiana, Lasso, Paloma Mam y Marco Mares.
La joven colombiana comenzó su discurso de agradecimiento cantando a capela unos versos de su canción “Joaquín”.

Muy emocionada, Velásquez explicó que este tema lo compuso inspirada en un pescador de su país que “salió a trabajar y no regresó”.
La cantante dedicó el premio a Colombia y a todas las personas que se ha “topado en el camino”, algo que la permitido crear y contar historias con su música.
La 22 edición de los Latin Grammy se está celebrando este jueves con una ceremonia en el MGM Grand Garden Arena de la ciudad del juego.
Se trata de la primera edición presencial de la fiesta de la Academia Latina de la Grabación desde que comenzó la pandemia.
En 2020, los Latin Grammy tuvieron que celebrarse con un acto virtual para esquivar el coronavirus, pero este año apostaron por un gran espectáculo musical y una alfombra roja con multitud de artistas de la música hispana y latina.
“Talvez” de Caetano y Tom Veloso logró este jueves el premio a la grabación del año en la 22ª edición de los Latin Grammy, que se está celebrando en Las Vegas (EE.UU.).
