Just three months after Jake Pavelka gave the final rose to blond beauty Vienna Girardi on “The Bachelor” finale, the couple has called it quits.
“Jake and Vienna have split and appreciate the respect for their privacy at this time,” a rep for the couple told the Daily News.
News of the reality-show couple’s split comes after Girardi’s appearance Saturday at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Oncology Prom near Los Angeles, where she told “Greek” actor Gregory Michael that her engagement was over, reports OK! Magazine.
“We hit it off and hung out and danced the night away,” Gregory told the mag . “She made it very clear that it was over with Jake.”
Pavelka, 32, shocked “Bachelor” fans last season when he chose Girardi, 24, over fan favorite Tenley Molzahn. Following the show’s finale, the Texas-based pilot gushed about his new bride-to-be.
“It’s a giant love story,” Jake told E! Online in March, before turning to Girardi and saying, “You’re my best friend in the whole world, and that’s the most important thing to me.”
Girardi added, “The only thing I got out of this was the love of my life. And that’s all I wanted. The only thing I went on the show to find was him, and I got everything I wanted.”
During Pavelka’s recent stint on the last season of “Dancing with the Stars,” Girardi was often spotted cheering on her man in the audience. After he was eliminated from the show in late April, Pavelka told People.com that he wanted to spend time with Girardi to “focus on our relationship and just see where life takes us right after that.”
Pavelka is reportedly in Atlanta filming a guest spot on Lifetime‘s “Drop Dead Diva,” while Girardi remains in Los Angeles.
