FOXBOROUGH – Chad Ochocinco hasn’t found a place to live yet, but he is starting to fit in with the New England Patriots offense.

The second part has been made easy with the help of wide receivers Deion Branch and Wes Welker, and Ochocinco claims that he’s beginning to get in sync with quarterback Tom Brady to the point that they can communicate through a simple gesture or look.

As for finding a place to sleep, well, Ochocinco is hoping that a fan can help him out with that.

“I’m going to do something different. I’m actually going to stay with a fan the first two or three weeks of the season,” he said. “So, that should be fun until I get myself acclimated, learn my way around and find a place.”

And, yes, the man who has made himself the darling of Boston by showing up to Red Sox games and inviting his followers on Twitter to join him at various locations throughout the city – something he hinted head coach Bill Belichick has gotten on him for – is deadly serious.

Just make sure you have an internet connection and an Xbox before applying.

“Have I ever lied before?” he said with a stern look.

His fan-friendly eccentricities aside, Ochocinco has done well to blend in to the New England offense after a rough start to camp where he couldn’t seem to catch the ball.

He explained those struggles away by stating that he’s “only human,” and admits that maybe he was also trying a little too hard early on after being acquired from the Cincinnati Bengals via a July 28 trade.

But he’s since settled down, gained a grasp on the offensive concepts the team uses and says that he’ll be ready to go full bore against the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday night.

“The reason I’m able to have that confidence, the little bit I do right now, is because I have been able to consume a lot of information in such a short period of time,” Ochocinco said. “I’m feeling very comfortable. I’m nowhere near where I need to be, in a good way, but I’m on the right track.”
