Shedeur Sanders goes bold: Believes he's Tom Brady, while his Rolls-Royce gets booted by police

The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback is certainly not short of confidence when it comes to his talent.

Shedeur Sanders' popularity has risen dramatically in 2023. Although his dad is NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, Shedeur didn't rise to the national spotlight until both arrived at the University of Colorado.

He carried over his impressive play from two years at Jackson State to the Buffaloes. An impressive debut win against ranked TCU, as well as two straight victories after that one, had Shedeur in the Heisman conversation early in the season. But the team has lost five of its last six games, and Sanders hasn't been nearly as dominant as he was during the first three weeks.

Still, he's played relatively well and had big games against USC and Stanford. His overall body of work this season has been impressive, and he seems to know it. Speaking to Complex recently, Sanders was asked who he would compare his game to and his response was filled to the brim with confidence: a mixture of Tom Brady and Michael Vick.

Well, I'll say it's a mixture because I'm able to stay in the pocket and deliver the ball. I can play like Brady, but I'm also able to extend plays and if it's not there, take it like Vick. But I say it's a mixture of a lot of great quarterbacks that all just have a different skill set. So that's why I feel like I'm special in what I bring to the table. I wanna stay in the pocket, I wanna throw it like Tom, but sometimes those opportunities ain't there.

Confidence is key for any athlete in any sport, but especially for a quarterback. Comparing yourself to the both the greatest quarterback of all-time and best running quarterback of all-time will certainly qualify as confident, if not cocky.

That confidence also appears to have led Sanders to park where he's not supposed to. A video was recently shared of Sanders' Rolls-Royce with a parking boot on the front left tire placed by Colorado campus police.

Considering he owns a luxury car like that, the fine was probably not an issue for Sanders. It was only a few months ago that Deion's Lamborghini was ticketed by campus PD, so the parking issues could run in the family.
