Amazonas is the largest state of Brazil, located in the heart of Amazonia region and crossed by the Amazon River. The capital is manaus. It is bordered by Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and by the Brazilian states of Roraima, Pará, Mato Grosso, Rondônia and Acre.
