Northern Catalpa is a fast-growing species for growing bonsai, however, it may take several years of work to reduce the leaf size. Because of its vigorous growth, this species may be best as a larger specimen made in upright or informal upright styles, however, you could still experiment.
These seeds were sourced from landscape specimens. Like all "bonsai seeds", these are not genetically distinct from the species at large and it will require your knowledge of bonsai to make beautiful bonsai with these seeds. To that end, I have written what I believe is the most comprehensive information package on the complete process of growing a bonsai from seed. My 10-year bonsai-from-seed guide is also freely available through various articles on my blog (www.Ry2Tree2.com) but the hard copy I send you is an exclusive condensed and simplified version. I hope you and others will find it a useful reference guide over the years-long process of growing your bonsai. Specifically for buyers of these seeds, I will include a printed version with the important points distilled from my longer blog articles.
Thank you for supporting my bonsai work! Happy growing :)
