'S.W.A.T.' Star Shemar Moore Shares How Love With Jesiree Dizon Has Come "Full Circle"
For over three decades, Shemar Moore has achieved great success on shows like The Young and the Restless, Criminal Minds and S.W.A.T. Amid years of maintaining a notable career, the actor has been lucky to discover something more important than fame: a loving family unit. And with his girlfriend Jesiree Dizon by his side, he acknowledges how he's in the best phase of his life.
While Shemar first introduced fans to private moments with Jesiree over the last two years, the couple's dating history spans longer than folks may realize. When he spoke about their love story during a May 2023 appearance on The Talk, the actor revealed the two first met and dated 15 years earlier but later split when he wasn't ready to be a family man. But after his mother Marilyn died in February 2020, he later reconnected with Jesiree (who gave birth to two children in between) and started rebuilding their new road to romance.
"We actually dated 15 years ago, and to be honest, it was wonderful," he explained at the time. "I just wasn't ready for that settled down, family thing. I got a little spooked. Then God is good and I think Mom's karma brought us back full circle. And here we are."
As Shemar and Jesiree's love became more serious, the two learned they were expecting a baby girl together. This led Shemar to reveal the news of his relationship and impending fatherhood with a gender reveal video in January 2023, leaving fans shocked over the emotional news.
"Mama’s smiling from Heaven 🕊️," he wrote at the time on Instagram. "Miracles happen … Here comes the BEST part of my life ❤️🔥."
Just a month later, Shemar and Jesiree announced the birth of their daughter Frankie Melelina Kapule Moore, with the couple each sharing their own Instagram posts celebrating the moment. While the duo love to share sweet moments with their daughter on Instagram, they also adore showering each other with words of love, as Jesiree did to celebrate Shemar's first Father's Day in June 2023. What's more, Shemar is equally smitten with his girlfriend, and he loves to show her off with his own social media posts as well.
"Daddy looks good on you 😍🥰," she captioned a Instagram video montage of the actor's first months of fatherhood. "HAPPY FIRST FATHER’S DAY, STUD. We love and appreciate you more than you know ❤️."
As Shemar and Jesiree continue to experience pivotal moments in their daughter's life together, the actor loves being in this place in life. As he later shared with Entertainment Tonight in February, he's all about being the doting partner and father he always wanted to be.
"[Frankie] is the last piece of my puzzle," he told the outlet. "One day God will call my name, but whenever that happens, I will go with a smile and I will go feeling whole. I get the opportunity to be Daddy, and now it's not about me anymore. Everything I do is for her, my girl, my family."
