But now Peter is a good student, thanks to Heidi’s help and advice from her time in Frankfurt with Grandmamma. Worried about Grandfather, Heidi understands the only way for him to be at rest is to face exactly what happened that day with Tobias. Together with Clara, they gather information to find out what happened, and then they go to the bridge to talk to Grandfather. They find him petrified on the bridge, frozen by his memories of the past, and they have to talk him through the accident for him to let go of the past.

At the cabin, everyone’s happiness is short-lived when Brigitte arrives and tells them that Peter is gone. They all look for Peter, even Clara. She’s the one who finds Peter and reassures him; no one is looking for him to send him to jail, and she won’t need her wheelchair ever again!
13 The Edelweiss

Heidi is a wonderful story of learning, friendship, working through sorrow and discrimination (social class and in this Italian immigrants). The animation is wonderful. Right now (July 2022) Heidi season 2 is playing intermittently. I came to this site to find season 1. Netflix did have season one but stopped airing it. I am an adult and watch not only for all the reasons above, but I am also learning French. It's great practice in listening skills.

This rendition of Heidi deals with tough, real life issues, yet it is still appropriate and fun for even young children. We are very cautious with what we allow our children to watch but we felt this was OK for our daughter to watch at 2 years of age. :)

This is the best cartoon ever to the point that I still watch it when I am 16 but I still didn't see season 2, it came out on 2019 but I still can't find it. But other than I recommend it. Even my parents who don't like tv watch it
