Shannen Doherty appears happy, healthy with friends after breast cancer spread to brain

Cancer-stricken Shannen Doherty enjoyed a carefree evening with friends Monday.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” star was seen leaving dinner at Nobu in Malibu with a female pal and a security guard looking happy and healthy after undergoing brain surgery.

Dressed in a red blouse and tan cardigan, Doherty was photographed smiling and laughing before getting into a car to leave the celebrity hotspot.

The “Charmed” alum, 52, announced in early June that her breast cancer had spread to her brain.

“But that fear…. The turmoil….. the timing of it all…. This is what cancer can look like,” she wrote on social media at the time, adding that she had received the news in January.

Doherty, who has been candid about her health since disclosing her stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis in 2020, then shared photos of herself preparing for the operation she underwent.

“January 16, 2023. Surgery. I had a tumor in my head they wanted to remove and also biopsy. I am clearly trying to be brave but I am petrified,” she captioned the post. “The fear was overwhelming to me.”

The “Heathers” actress shared that one of her biggest fears was leaving her mother and “how that would impact her.”

It appears the surgery was a success, as Doherty was seen for the first time not long after revealing the news with a huge grin on her face.

Adding stress to the situation, Doherty filed for divorce from her photographer husband, Kurt Iswarienko, in April.

“Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted,” her rep told Page Six at the time. “Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option.”

The publicist also claimed Iswarienko’s agent had been “intimately involved” in the estranged couple’s separation.
