The 'Here we go again' meme is perfect for every frustrating situation

The relatable mood to end all relatable moods.

"Ah shit, here we go again." Oh, the endless possibilities of that simple statement.

Twitter has taken another relatable quote that can be applied to any number of situations and ran wild with it. And this time, we have the gamers to thank for it.

Taken from a memorable scene in the 2004 game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the quote immediately follows the opening cutscene in which the main character, Carl "CJ" Johnson, finds himself in a corrupt neighborhood.

"Ah shit, here we go again," he starts off saying. "Worst place in the world, Rolling Heights Ballas country. I ain't represented Grove Street in five years, but the Ballas won't give a shit."

According to Know Your Meme, the memes started out as stationary reaction images on Reddit and Instagram, mostly referencing scenes in other video games.

But it didn't really start gaining traction until Twitter user @ChaoticGeekCG created a green screen video edit of the scene, allowing anyone the power to meme the original quote to their hearts desire.

What followed was a spark of inside gaming-jokes, anime, and miscellaneous shitpost edits.

Hopefully you won't feel the same frustrated futility as Carl "CJ" Johnson does when seeing another meme trend on Twitter.
