Other Prince-influenced shows and one Prince’s collaboration : Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Spring/Summer 2010 (a dress paid homage to Prince in this collection), Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2013 (Prince was one of the ’80s icons that were celebrated in this show), Versace Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (Prince featured on the soundtrack of this show), Versace by H&M (Prince did a special performance for the launch of this collection, in New York, in November 2011).

Balmain AW89Billy Idol inspired punk looks in the Balmain by Christophe Decarnin Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 Show, which featured a soundtrack dedicated to Billy Idol’s songs.

Other Billy Idol-influenced collections and items or shows with Billy Idol’s songs : Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière Spring/Summer 2006 (the theme of this collection was « Billy Idol meets Marie-Antoinette »), D&G Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (« Billy Idol » print on a T-shirt), Emanuel Ungaro Autumn/Winter 2000-2001 (the soundtrack of this show featured Billy Idol’s « Rebel Yell »), Versace Spring/Summer 2012 (Billy Idol’s « Hot in the City » appeared on the soundtrack), Viktor & Rolf Spring/Summer 2011 (this show featured a remix of Billy Idol’s « White Wedding »), Y3 Spring/Summer 2011 (Billy Idol was one of the music icons who were referenced in this show).

Furthermore, Billy Idol performed during the Fashion Rocks party, at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, on September 8, 2005, and his « Dancing with Myself » song featured in the 5th episode (« Plus None », originally aired on November 6, 2009) of the 4th season of « Ugly Betty », to illustrate a party attended by the « MODE » team.

The metallic dresses of the Balmain by Christophe Decarnin Spring/Summer 2010 Show were inspired by Tina Turner’s in George Miller and George Ogilvie’s « Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome ».

Other George Miller’s « Mad Max »-inspired collections or items : Alexander Wang Spring/Summer 2009 (jewelry line, launched on February 14, 2009, in collaboration with Abraxas Rex, influenced by Tina Turner in « Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome »), Christian Louboutin Spring/Summer 2012 (« Lady Max » shoes, in leather and metal), Diesel Spring/Summer 2012 (« Bad Max » sunglasses), Dondup Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (« Mad Max » was the starting point of this collection, made for a « Mad Woman »), Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2001 (partly), Louise Amstrup Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (the theme of this collection was a « Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome » kind of apocalyptic world), Louis Vuitton by Camille Miceli Spring/Summer 2009 (« Mad Max » earrings), Norisol Ferrari Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (« Jean Harlow meets Mad Max » was the theme of this collection), Pièce d’Anarchive Spring/Summer 2012 (some pieces mix a « Mad Max » warrior-style with flowers), Rafael Lopez Autumn/Winter 2002-2003 (some items, mixing fabric and fur, evoked the « Mad Max » clothes), Rodarte Spring/Summer 2010 (in part), Todd Lynn Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (partly).
