Chu-Bra

A high school girl named Nayu possesses an uncanny knowledge of undergarments that leads her to friends, hilarious misunderstandings, and the formation of an underwear club.

At the beginning of this anime, I almost mistook Chu-Bra for a yuri, due to Nayu's habit of flipping girls skirts to check out the ‘style’ of their panties and groping their breasts to find the ‘style’ of their bras. Any who, the hilarity ensues when Nayu and her new found friends, whom she met due to a skirt flipping incident, form an underwear club. Of course, no one joins due to the obvious immorality of such an organization, but by the end of the series the club as a whole gains the recognition that it deserved

Chu- Bra had its moments when you realized that under the facade of constant inappropriate visual bombardment, jokes, and other like things, there is an actual lesson to be learned. I learned that friendship is very important and that if you have a dream, keep after it until you achieve the stars. Before I watched this anime, I knew absolutely nothing about women’s underwear and bras but now, having completed the series, I feel like a guru among gurus. So if you're looking to increase your knowledge of lingerie, by all means, Chu-Bra is the perfect anime for you.

I rate Chu-Bra 6 out of 10. It was comical, ecchi as hell, and had an all around good story line. Character art was typical; buggish eyes and genetically inaccurate colored hair. The musical score was nothing to write home about (just had to use at least one cliché). You had the music for funny situations, the violin for the sad music, but one thing I did enjoy was the one flute theme that was played during happy situations. Every time it came on I found myself bobbing my head as a half smile played across my lips.

For me, Chu- Bra was one of those anime that I watched in between watching a major series, a filler if you will, so of course my expectations would not be as high. Still, I was not disappointed so if you ever want to go out and watch it go right ahead (not like I could force you or anything) but remember one thing: ecchi, ecchi, ecchi with a healthy helping of fan service.
